Shinmun (神門)
Shinmun is a snowy-white Baekbokryun (雪白) variety from the Amami group. Around 2007, Kim Jung-woo of Haepungwon acquired a specimen of snowy-stripes (片覆輪) from a specialized store (international). During cultivation, this plant continuously produced green offspring until around 2011, when a sudden change resulted in the birth of the current Baekbokryun variety. The pattern of Baekbokryun is innate, featuring a deep navy (紺) flowing broadly, and the white herringbone pattern at the leaf tips, representing the overlapping, transparent snowy-white pattern along the edges. This cultivar is an outstanding example of pure white beauty (白眉).
Particularly, the young leaves exhibit a unique pattern resembling the double-layered Sibok Jungban (三光中斑), showcasing the cultivar's high stability in retaining its Baekbokryun characteristics. It was newly registered by the Korean Orchid Association in 2018. The name Shinmun was chosen to embody the precious meaning of the orchid, emphasizing its artistic completion and the divine realm ('神'). The broad leaves feature a characteristic gentle curve and a mix of graceful greenery, with sharp leaf tips and thick stems, adding to its unique allure.

Seohak (西鶴)
Seohak is a cultivar that evolved from Seochuldo (西出都) in the early 2000s. The attachment has transformed into a wavy or mountainous shape, and the leaves can exhibit sword-like edges (검엽) or become intricately twisted and curled. While the pattern is similar to the mother plant Seochuldo, Seohak tends to be slightly smaller. It bears some resemblance to Okgeum (玉錦), but Seohak has wider leaves and thicker stems. Compared to Okgeum, Seohak possesses more volume and a subtle sense of movement. The various transformations observed in Seochuldo, including those in Seohak, evoke a sense of wonder.
Initially, before being officially registered, it was introduced as Okryong (玉龍), another name for the same variety. However, following an agreement between the owners, it was unified under the name Seohak. It was newly registered in Japan in 2006. The attachment is a shallow crescent shape, adhering to a shallow waveform.
