"Gojoseon" (古朝鮮) is a special variety of Furan orchid that originated from the "Haehwanghwan" variety within the Amami lineage. It is known for its unique ink variegation. It features white "Sabokryun" (絲覆輪) similar to the "Baekho" (白縞) variety, but this variegation appears distinctly on the calyx before changing into white stripes, especially with a prominent ink appearance covering the entire leaf.
This compact variety excels in leaf curling and overlapping, exuding a vibrant and confident appearance. Notably, "Gojoseon" holds historical significance as it was the first variety registered with the same name in both Korea (한국) and Japan (日本) within the Furan lineage.

"Joseon Geum" (朝鮮錦) is a large two-lobed orchid variety with yellow stripes on the inner petals. It originated from the "Haehwanghwan" (海皇丸) variety, which is considered the original ancestor of the Amami lineage of two-lobed orchids. From the "Haehwanghwan," a variety called "Gojoseon" (古朝鮮) was born, featuring ink variegation and a pale grayish-white "Sabokryun." "Joseon Geum" then emerged as a bud change from "Gojoseon," devoid of ink variegation.
The name "Joseon Geum" was given by its initial owner, Mr. Kim Myeong-ho. This orchid's remarkable transformation, particularly the absence of ink variegation, is considered a miraculous and astonishing development. Its calyx starts with a slightly greenish-yellow hue, which gradually deepens into a vivid yellow, creating a distinctive appearance.
With its large inner petals adorned with bold and intricate patterns, "Joseon Geum" boasts a presence that is both vibrant and elegant. Its variegation is unique among orchid varieties and exudes a strong masculine and voluminous quality that sets it apart from other varieties. The attachment is characterized by shallow wave-like patterns.
