"신위지광" (神威之光) is a variety of orchid that originated from the "Sinwi" (神威) or "Wolpa" (越波) category of Baekbokryun orchids, which is a registered variety. It's a mid-translucent (중투) variety with bud changes from the "Sinwi" category. The mid-translucent petals are spread transparently and elegantly on the flower, making it an exceptional variety, particularly due to the contrast between the edges and the deep indigo (감복).
While the pattern on the calyx (천엽) is innate, interestingly, the young leaves of "Sinwi Ji Gwang" are green for the first two leaves, then they transform into mid-translucent leaves, a feature characteristic of the "Jin Hak Eui" mid-translucent category. In the end, all variegation (반예) aspires to reach a balance between Baekbokryun and mid-translucent categories.
This variety is known for its stability and the attractive transparency of its white petals. It's unique in its pure white mid-translucent form, which is different from other varieties. It is distinct from the "Geumpa" (琴波) variety, not only in pattern but also in the overall appearance of the plant.
The roots of "Sinwi Ji Gwang" are a mix of green and white, with white roots in the root bulb (백근) near the stem base.

천엽의 무늬는 선천적이지만 흥미로운 점은 "신위지광"의 어린 잎은 처음 몇 잎은 녹색이지만, 그 다음에는 중투로 변하는 특징이 있는데, 이것은 "진학의 예" 중투 범주의 특성입니다. 결국 모든 반예(반예)는 복륜과 중투 를 지향한다.
이 품종은 안정성과 흰 꽃잎의 매력적인 투명성으로 알려져 있습니다. 이 품종은 다른 품종과 다른 순수한 흰색 중투 형태로 독특합니다. 그루의 형태와 무늬 뿐만 아니라 "금파" 품종과 구별됩니다.
"신위지광"의 뿌리는 녹색과 흰색이 섞인 혼합 뿌리로, 뿌리 기저 부분에는 청근과 백근이 섞여있다.

"Wolpa" (越波) is a variety of orchid that originated around the year 2000 as a result of bud changes from the "Donghae" variety, a native Korean orchid. It is a pure white, mid-translucent, and calyx-variegated orchid. Its pattern is innate, starting as a pure white "Seochul Eui" variety, featuring white incised variegation. The interplay of the deeply sensuous indigo (감성) of the undulating calyx, combined with the flowing white lines, creates a unique atmosphere as a double-variegated (이중복륜) standard variety. Initially, it was considered a very stable pattern, but it seems to fluctuate from simplicity to flamboyance, which makes it an increasingly anticipated variety for the future.
In Japan, a plant that exhibits mid-translucence from this variety is separately referred to as "Sinwi Ji Gwang" (神威之光). The leaf characteristics and the roots are similar to the "Donghae" variety. In 2011, it was officially registered as a new variety by the Korean Orchid Association. The name "Wolpa" was given by Mr. Kim Seok-dong when he observed a well-balanced "Dae Pa Cheonghae" variation in the young calyx of one individual, expressing hope for it to become a flagship variety. In Japan, it is known as "Sinwi" (神威).
2000년경 [동해](대파청해 실생) 실생에서 나온, 순백(純白)의 삼광중반 복륜 품종이다. 무늬는 처음부터 순백의 '서출 예'로서, 백(白)의 절입복륜(切込覆輪)을 걸친다. 휘어지게 늘어뜨린 만곡의 짙은 감성(紺性)에 미끄러지듯 흘러내리는 백(白)의 이은 선의 어울림은, 이중복륜(二重覆輪)의 표준적인 품종으로, 유일무이(有一無二)의 분위기를 자아낸다. 처음에는 안정도가 매우 높은 무늬라고 생각되지만, 수수함에서 화려함까지 요동치는 것 같아서, 앞으로 점점 기대되는 품종이다. 그래선지 일본에서는 본 종에서 중투(中透)로 나온 개체를 [신위지광(神威之光)]이라 따로 부른다. 잎의 특성과 니축에 청근, 붙음매는 모종(母種)인 [동해]와 같다. 2011년도 대한민국 풍란 연합회 신 등록 품이며, 이름은 청야의 '김석동' 씨가, 어린 한 개체의 천엽에서 균형 잡힌 대복륜이 보였을 때 [대파청해] 변이의 으뜸이 되길 기대하며 [월파]라고 명명했다 한다. 한편 일본에서는 [신위(神威)]라 부른다.
